Changes Coming

It wasn't my original plan, but I ended up doing it.  I picked up an Ipad Mini.  I have been debating this for quite some time.  This has involved quite a bit of going back and forth between different possibilities.

I really do like the Nexus 10.  Screen resolution and such is comparable to the Ipad 4 for roughly 100 dollars cheaper.  Not a bad deal really.

But in the end I found I like the size of the IPad mini.  The main thing I am looking for is versatility.  So with the mini I have decent camera and portability.  Not too bad a trade off.

Of course, my oldest daughter wants to test this tonight.  I am now sitting in the hospital waiting room, hoping that she isn't, in labor.  She still has about a month and a half to go.  Good news, I have a portable office.  Bad news, I get to try it out in a way we are not quite ready for.

Most likely this isn't the real deal just yet, but it could still happen.

  1. Congrates on the new mini, I love my iPad 2, and like you, needed the screen size for my images.

Either way I hope all are well with your daughter and her baby.

    1. Everything is ok so far. She was sent home. The problem is she has a bit of the cold that is going around right now and its giving her a tough time of it. We are currently at about 7 weeks and counting.

    1. So far I like it (still have some learning curve to work through). With the apple keyboard it works great for writing.

  5. My new niece is due to arrive around the same time (SIL is due April 17, but my nephew came 3 weeks early so we assume his sister will not want to be out done.) The beloved (and a bit spoiled due to his aunts and uncle)nephew has no idea what he's in for. Good luck with the grandkid! Owen was the best thing to happen to my family.

    1. The little one is due on the 14th of April. My wife and I ended up going to the hospital about 7 or 8 times with false labor and such before this daughter was born. Figure we have a few more trips to the hospital before the big event.

  6. It's good to hear all is well with your daughter and granddaughter to be. I love my iPad and have been looking into getting a keyboard for it as well. The only problem is I can't comment on some blogs when I use my iPad and I don't know why.

    1. The keyboard is a godsend. I have been working with the split virtual keyboard when I don't have the real one connected. That works for quick reply stuff, but the real keyboard makes writing so much better.
